Transportation, Equipment, and Cargo Services

Claims originating from the TEC sector require specific skillsets and procedures to properly investigate and document all incidents. Our TEC team has the training required to handle your claim.

IPG offers claims services specific to the Transportation, Equipment, and Cargo (TEC) sectors as they pertain to collision, cargo, and liability insurance. Our team of examiners has extensive TEC experience among its members. Our expert team quickly attends to first notice of the claim to investigate and document the incident, working to mitigate exposures and determine liability.

Specifically, our TEC division handles Cargo, Heavy Equipment, and Truck & Trailer claims.

We are licensed to handle these types of claims in 21 of the 31 states which require adjuster licenses, with more states being added as needed. As a member of the Trucking Industry Defense Association and a member of the National Truck and Heavy Equipment Claims Council, IPG ensures we stay up to date on the latest legal environment and rulings concerning the trucking industry.

Cargo Claims
When it comes to third party exposures involving cargo, our examiners have experience handling third party issues and investigations with cargo related claims. This includes prior work with all forms of cargo, from food and perishable items to specialty auto haulers.

We utilize a national database of cargo salvage experts and buyers to quickly mitigate losses to perishable goods, as well as web-based salvage posting on our website to obtain the maximum recovery of your indemnity dollars when cargo needs salvage.

Heavy Equipment Claims
IPG handles Heavy Equipment claims as a TPA throughout the United States and Canada.

We have the experience and expertise in handling crane-related losses due to upset, vandalism, or overloading in addition to experience in working traditional contractor equipment claims (including bulldozers, hydraulic excavators, and other earth-moving equipment). Our staff further specializes in equipment used in the timber harvesting industry, including log skidders, knuckle boom loaders, tree shears, delimbers, and sawmill related equipment.

Diesel Trucks & Trailers Claims
IPG has multiple examiners experienced in efficiently handling your trucking loss. These individuals’ combined experience in estimating and settling diesel truck and trailer claims is in excess of fifty years. Several of our examiners have experience with handling third party issues and investigations.

For physical damage claims, IPG utilizes used and aftermarket parts to effect repairs to first and third party vehicles where allowed by state statutes. For your benefit, we use a national database of salvage buyers and web-based salvage posting on our website to obtain the maximum recovery of your indemnity dollars when units are deemed total losses.
