Each of these individuals has made significant contributions to IPG’s success and growth, and under their leadership, IPG continues to enhance its offerings and commitments to clients and employees.

Head of Claims, Canada

Barb Smith

Barb Smith Profile Photo

Effective April 1, 2021, Barb Smith has been promoted to the newly created position of Head of Claims. In this role, Barb will be responsible for directing and overseeing IPG’s claims department to meet operational, financial, and service requirements. Barb’s technical expertise and experience managing IPG’s audit, compliance, and due diligence requirements have elevated our standing as a TPA and prepared her for this role. All claims personnel will report up to Barb, who will continue to report to Blue Schindler.

 

Head of Operations, Canada

Brett Colville

Effective April 1, 2021, Brett Colville has been promoted to the newly created position of Head of Operations. In this role, Brett will be responsible for directing and overseeing all facets of infrastructure and operations, including strategic management of data design, governance, admin, finance, project management, IT, reporting, and analytics. Brett’s contributions to IPG’s data infrastructure since joining IPG have catapulted them into providing innovative, advanced, and industry-leading solutions that have won new business while supporting the growth of their existing portfolio. All admin and MI staff will report to Brett, who will continue to report to Blue Schindler.

Head of Claims, US

Scott Cody

 Effective April 1, 2021, Scott Cody has been promoted to the newly created position of Head of Claims in the US. Scott will be responsible for overseeing all claims. Scott’s prior experience as a field appraiser, domestic claims manager, and TPA claims manager have provided him with the experience necessary to oversee and manage the claims department. Prior to this promotion, Scott held the position of Claims Director. All claims personnel will report up to Scott, who will continue to report to David Elliott.

Head of Operations, US

Melissa Nelson

Effective April 1, 2021, Melissa Nelson has been promoted to the newly created position of Head of Operations in the US. Melissa will be responsible for overseeing compliance, trust management, various support departments, as well as project management, IT liaison, and analytics. Melissa has worked in many areas of the company starting with Affirmative Risk Management in the administrative department. Melissa has held positions in IT, adjuster support, licensing, claims, and became a claims manager prior to filling the role of Director of Operations. In Melissa’s new role, she will continue to report to David Elliott.
