Responsibilities:
Accurately enter claims and financial data in various client databases and reconcile with our internal claims system Prepare financial and data reports as required Create client loss runs and liaise with clients to clarify and confirm needs Troubleshoot data conflicts directly with clients and examiners Ensure claims are opened in a timely manner and in conformity with client data standards by researching and understanding the nuances of loss report details
Qualifications & Experience
Grade twelve diploma; however a post-secondary diploma in Office Administration will be given preference Familiarity or previous insurance claims experience will be a definite asset 2-3 years’ experience in an administrative support role is required Previously demonstrated ability to execute high attention to detail and strong analytical skill Demonstrated ability to manage changing priorities and proven organizational skills Demonstrated behaviours showing initiative and follow-up skills Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality Demonstrated professionalism and work ethic Proven ability to contribute to and work well within a team environment, as well as work independently Intermediate experience with Word and Excel skills are required All other computer applications – must have the aptitude and ability to learn as required? Qualifications & Experience:

Overview
Reporting to a Claims Supervisor, the Claims Examiner is responsible for investigating and settling transportation and first party claims and third-party claims, with an emphasis on strong communication and customer service, while utilizing state specific guidelines.

Job Responsibilities:
Initiate the investigation of new claims Make liability/coverage decisions Evaluate and negotiate settlements of collision, specified perils, property damage, and transportation losses as appropriate. Manage and oversee the work of outside adjusters, appraisers and experts. Establish contact with the insured and claimant within established protocol. Recognize coverage issues and bring them to the attention of the supervisor. Develop basic understanding of liability and coverage principles. Recognize state specific laws and claims regulations throughout the United States to insure proper compliance in claims investigation including sending and securing proper documentation. Complete research to determine market value on automobiles and heavy equipment to make recommendations on total loss settlement values using proper state valuation methods. Summarize and make recommendations for disposition of claims in excess of the individual settlement authority. Respond to time sensitive material including but not limited to intercompany arbitration hearings, and department of insurance complaints. Manage a diary system to systematically review and resolve claims within the specified state compliance guidelines. Maintain state license by completing continuing education coursework and/or work towards a claims designation. Handle small claim suits as needed. International Programs Group (IPG) is an independent third-party administration (TPA) team providing claims services for Lloyd's of London syndicates, domestic insurers, self-insured entities, and organizations with high financial retentions.
We are seeking Property Claims Examiners to join our team. The successful candidates will be part of a dynamic team that provides quality service to internal and external clients. They will display excellent customer service skills and will be a key contributor to the success of the organization by providing knowledgeable, detailed and timely service. Utilizing a ‘desktop’ model, IPG examiners manage claims from start to finish. This hands-on approach ensures that the claim is handled properly and also helps offset third-party adjusting costs.
Attendance to the office a minimum of 1 day per week and as needed for training, client meetings and team meetings is required.
Responsibilities:
Examine moderate to intermediate complex property claimsProduce reports with occasional guidance from Manager Direct Field Adjusters on task assignment investigations Settle claims directly with Insureds or their representatives Administer claims payments/settlements through trust accounts Liaise with all stakeholders to insure clients needs are met Report back to the syndicate or self-insured according to their guidelines
Qualifications & Experience:
While licensing and experience are critical to being able to handle significant examining tasks for a TPA, we are looking for individuals with a demonstrated and proven track record of performance. You will have to be strong technically, a solid planner and organizer, and understand key issues plus provide solid solutions. You will have to be motivated to do this type of work and be excited by the challenges that a rapidly growing organization faces.
We will also consider the following:
Your education, with relevant post-secondary education being an asset Your completed CIP courses, or working towards CIP designation Your ability to hold an independent adjusting license in the province of Quebec Your 3-7 years' experience delivering relevant claims adjusting and/or examining work Exposure to the Lloyd's market would be an asset Your experience positively contributing to a high-performing team Examples of your strong aptitude and ability to work with technology Your attention to detail and your ability to communicate professionally Bilingual oral and written communication skills (English and French) required
