IPG works in the contiguous 48 states, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico handling a variety of claims including, but not limited to auto physical damage, inland marine cargo, dealers' open lot, property damage (commercial and homeowners) and general liability.
Reporting to the Claims Supervisor, the Property Claims Examiner is responsible for investigating and settling property and first party claims and third-party claims, with an emphasis on strong communication and customer service, while utilizing state specific guidelines.
Role Responsibilities:
Initiate the investigation of new claims Make liability/coverage decisions Evaluate and negotiate settlements of collision, specified perils, and property damage, as appropriate. Manage and oversee the work of outside adjusters, appraisers and experts. Establish contact with the insured and claimant within established protocol. Recognize coverage issues and bring them to the attention of the supervisor. Develop basic understanding of liability and coverage principles. Recognize state specific laws and claims regulations throughout the United States to insure proper compliance in claims investigation including sending and securing proper documentation. Complete research to determine market value on automobiles and heavy equipment to make recommendations on total loss settlement values using proper state valuation methods. Summarize and make recommendations for disposition of claims in excess of the individual settlement authority. Respond to time sensitive material including but not limited to intercompany arbitration hearings, and department of insurance complaints. Manage a diary system to systematically review and resolve claims within the specified state compliance guidelines. Maintain state license by completing continuing education coursework and/or work towards a claims designation. Handle small claim suits as needed. Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree is preferred Experience with Lloyd’s of London is considered an asset Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Xactimate Able to be licensed in states, countries where necessary AIC designation preferred
Competencies:

International Programs Group (IPG) is an independent third-party claims administration team that provides claims services for Lloyd's of London, self-insured entities, and organizations with high deductibles. We provide our clients with peace of mind knowing that their interests are looked after by a team of professionals who understand the specific language and technicalities of this market and who are committed to providing the highest quality of Third-Party Administrator (TPA) services. IPG also provides clients with the added value of local, on-the-ground knowledge and coast-to-coast coverage across Canada and the UK.
Although intended to be a remote work opportunity, this position may require attendance to the office for training, client meetings, or team meetings with ample notification.
IPG does have an office in downtown Toronto. This role is also suitable for a candidate who prefers a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as an examiner for various Lloyds accounts which involves providing prompt, fair, quality claims service to clients. Examine complex liability claims. Direct Field Adjusters on assignment investigations Settle claims directly with claimants or their representatives Administer claims payments/settlements through trust accounts Liaise with all stakeholders to ensure client's needs are met Education, Knowledge and Experience Required:
College diploma or combination of education and equivalent business CIP designation an asset Minimum of 5 years of casualty claims experience including specialty lines experience an asset Experience dealing with Lloyds a clear advantage.
Competencies Required to Succeed:
Individual must demonstrate the ability to direct adjusters of all levels and work effectively in a team environment Previously demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external associates, written and oral techniques A positive, “can do” attitude and customer service approach ensuring all inquiries are effectively dealt with in a timely manner Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills Demonstrated ability to be proactive in identifying and implementing solutions Proven ability to multi-task in a fast paced and demanding environment Exceptional computer skills. Ability to navigate various systems, proficient in MS Office and work in a paperless environment.

International Programs Group (IPG) is an independent third-party administration (TPA) team providing claims services for Lloyd's of London syndicates, domestic insurers, self-insured entities, and organizations with high financial retentions.
We are seeking Property Claims Examiners to join our growing team!
The successful candidates will be part of a dynamic team that provides quality service to internal and external clients. They will display excellent customer service skills and will be a key contributor to the success of the organization by providing knowledgeable, detailed and timely service. Utilizing a ‘desktop’ model, IPG examiners manage claims from start to finish. This hands-on approach ensures that the claim is handled properly and also helps offset third-party adjusting costs.

Responsibilities:
Examine moderate to intermediate complex property claimsProduce reports with occasional guidance from Manager Direct Field Adjusters on task assignment investigations Settle claims directly with Insureds or their representatives Administer claims payments/settlements through trust accounts Liaise with all stakeholders to insure clients needs are met Report back to the syndicate or self-insured according to their guidelines
Qualifications & Experience:
While licensing and experience are critical to being able to handle significant examining tasks for a TPA, we are looking for individuals with a demonstrated and proven track record of performance. You will have to be strong technically, a solid planner and organizer, and understand key issues plus provide solid solutions. You will have to be motivated to do this type of work and be excited by the challenges that a rapidly growing organization faces.
We will also consider the following:
Your education, with relevant post-secondary education being an asset Your completed CIP courses, or working towards CIP designation Your ability to hold an independent adjusting license Your 3-7 years' experience delivering relevant claims adjusting and/or examining work Exposure to the Lloyd's market would be an asset Your experience positively contributing to a high-performing team Examples of your strong aptitude and ability to work with technology Your attention to detail and your ability to communicate professionally
